World Coldest Place to Visit This Winter

Fancy a cool place for a travel indulgence? Well, cold places or rather coldest countries in the world are not very popular for pleasant weather. But some folks do love the thrills that come with winter and winter sports.

These are three World coldest place you would love to visit:

Yakutsk, Russia

Yakutsk is a Russian port city on the Lena River, in east Siberia. It is the world coldest city.
Yakutia is frequently called “diamond heart of Russia”, because it is the place where a quarter of the world’s diamonds of high-quality is extracted and the prices of the Yakut diamonds are much higher than those of the others. It is Yakut diamonds that many world’s celebrities and powers that be, in particular, prefer. You can admire all the facets of beauty of Yakut jeweller’s oeuvres at numerous international exhibitions and auctions.

Greenland

Greenland is an island country in North America that is part of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Speaking of Greenland's size… nearly 80% of the country is covered by a giant ice cap, with ice reaching up to more than 9000 feet in some places. The ice-free area (mostly around Greenland's south, east, and west coasts) is only about the size of Sweden.

No wonder this spot was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.

Ulaanbaata, Mongolia

Located in the northern part of the country, high above sea level, Ulan Bator is the coldest capital city in the world. The cultural and business centre of Mongolia, and a hub connecting the Trans-Siberian Railway with the Chinese rail system, Ulan Bator has become a thriving urban centre in one of the most remote locations in the world. Visit the Tibetan-style Gandan Monastery, one of the few buildings in Ulan Bator to predate WWII and one of the few monasteries to survive the Soviet purge.
